The 1st Annual
"Charlie Mike"
Memorial Ride

We are very pleased to announce that on August 7, 2010 we completed our 1st Annual “Charlie Mike” Memorial Ride in memory of the 43 North Carolina Vietnam War veterans that are still listed as Missing In Action (MIA).

Fourteen motorcycle riders, four passengers, and four people in support vehicles made the entire 1,000 mile journey. We had so many people meet us along the route to thank us and support us in this very special event and I hope they know how much that meant to us all. The riders were:

Very special recognition goes out to:
Thomas “Nobody” Crane,  he had planned on riding but when we needed someone to drive the support van he volunteered to leave his bike at home and drove (by himself) for the entire 1,000+ miles!

Very special “Thank You” goes out to:
“Cowboy” Desmond and Edwin Crumpler who drove and pulled the Covered Wagon (motorcycle repair trailer) for the entire route.

Because of the generosity of so many we were able to raise the funds that were needed to complete the center piece Memorial at the Veteran’s Park in Lillington, NC.

We have already started planning for our 2nd Annual “Charlie Mike” Memorial Ride. It will be in memory of the NC Korean War Veterans who never made it home. If you would like to get involved please let us know.

Respectfully,
The North Carolina Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association Chapter 15-1
